Waffle House in Charlottesville

Either I was really hungry or the all star breakfast was really delicious tonight...or both.

This is the better Waffle House in Charlottesville. The other one I've had to ask for another coffee mug since it was filled with grime and food bits in my coffee from a previous person/washing. This location I have never had an issue with. My husband and I visit this Waffle house at times and we have always had great, kind, fast service. The servers, food and location cleanliness are all better. Looking forward to more meals here.

My partner and I stopped by here after my night shift to grab some breakfast before we headed home. We'd been here a few times, so we know this is a good one! They are currently offering dine-in service (as well as the usual takeout and delivery) with the floor marked and some tables/seating taped off to promote social distancing, so that's awesome.The food was amazing as usual, and I have to commend our server Shanti! She was fast, cheerful, and polite. An absolute ray of sunshine! Well definitely be back soon!

It's no wonder this waffle house is so highly rated. They're part of the classic waffle house lore, time to lean, time to clean. but you'll never see these guys leaning because they're too busy cooking! You also never see them cleaning, but won't mind that it's not spotless, because the food is just too good for a diner. Quick service and no nonsense staff.

Waffle house is waffle house, but every time I come here, I come away thinking that the server is my friend. Even if that's not true, it's quite an accomplishment for me to feel that way. Great food, a fun show, and even when it's slow in the place, they make you feel at home. I love this particular Waffle House.

Very dirty. Had to go to one a mile away because they wouldnt take our order.

The black gentlemen served my family perfectly with manners. He wore a cap and we struck up a conversation about the nba. My family come occasionally on our way from DC. He was attentive and let our baby niece be in comfort. I wish I remembered his name but yeah, that guy was amazing.

So happy to see Waffle House open to in-house seating. The employees went out of their way to be nice and helpful. The food (especially hash browns) was absolutely wonderful

Excellent breakfast with great service and staff. Taylor was excellent...and was on 14 hours. Amazing difference in two Charlottesville stores both owned by the same company . Polar opposites. This one was clean! We had an excellent breakfast!

Amazing food and service. After sitting at the 5th street one for almost 45 mins and not even getting served drinks they really came through. The server Tykim was fast friendly and extremely attentive and the cook Logan was also friendly fast and did amazing job Cooking. We were in there for maybe 15 and I had already gotten my drinks food and check now that’s top rate service right there.

We have been to this Waffle house twice. I loved the fact that the same people have been there for many years. The server was friendly, the cook was awesome and the lady who rang us up was friendly. The food was excellent. Their bacon is to die for.

Lee was our server/ salesperson and he was really friendly and attentive. The food was neatly placed on the dishes and hot when served. The entire staff was on point this morning working as a team. Great job.

Every weekend I order carry out and every single time I get fantastic service; over the phone, in person, etc. That is a rare find nowadays and especially at a Waffle House! Will someone please recognize the employees here?? They deserve it.

Service was fast and very friendly. I've been to other waffle houses before and this time I actually tried the waffle. It was so delicious!! The location was a little busy but my family didn't have to wait long before a table became free. Next time I'm in town I would go again even if it's just to get a to go plate

The restaurant appears old but the staff and food is excellent. They will do your eggs anyway you like. I was surprised pleasantly.

A wonderful place to get breakfast anytime you want it. Ordered several breakfast options including rare steak with poached eggs. Both steak and eggs were cooked perfectly.Quick service, lovely meal and super friendly staff.Definitely a good location! Will go back.

You know , waffle houses might get a bad name? Maybe that's why I havent been in a while. But this one in C-ville really tries to make your experience a nice one. Good food better people. Nice & clean, I'll be back.

The cook looked like he could win a short-order contest, and the waiter, a guy named Lee, was fantastic. Who'd have thunk. Yay Waffle House.

I love Waffle House. Scattered, smothered, covered and chunked with cheese and eggs! Breakfast doesn't get any better.

Service was great on a busy Fri night after all of the club goers got there, that's when the fun began.. great place to eat after hours. My waitress Jasmine was excellent....

Food was awesome as usual, but service was not as responsive as one would expect. I think it would be nice to greet the customers as they walk in (especially when busy) so they know they're noticed rather than them sitting there wondering if they know they're waiting for a table. Overall though, good place to eat!

Messed up order twice and didn't communicate to me that they even heard me point out one of the mistakes (there were two employees standing side by side). I ended up going to the counter to verify they had heard me (they had). Put chocolate chips on two pancakes to-go that were for my kids and they won't eat them on pancakes, but at that point we couldn't wait longer for them to be redone. Hash browns were very soggy and they gave filled-to-the-brim, full sized, and lidless glasses of milk and water to my 3 year olds. I asked for a cup of water with a lid and nothing happened (no acknowledgement even). So I guess you could say my order was messed up more than twice. I wouldn't give them less that 3 stars because the rest of the food tasted great and the staff seemed polite, albeit not well trained in customer service. Won't be going back.

It was busy Christmas morning but they helped us find a place close together for all nine people in our group. They were pleasant, cheerful and efficient and got our orders out quickly and correctly. A great experience!

No better place for a home cooked breakfast with friendly folks.

Our server, Christina, was very nice as was everyone else. Very polite. The house was hopping. We came in during a busy lunchtime. Our order was quickly filled and we enjoyed a great breakfast!! We'll be back for sure!

This place was WONDERFUL! Busy, fun to listen to and interact with the staff. My server was a wonderful young lady. Plenty of food and LOTS of coffee, which was sorely needed for me that morning. If I'm ever in Charlottesville, VA again I am definitely going back!
